Frequently Asked Questions
How booking, pricing, and our guarantee work, plus answers to the appliance problems we hear about most.
Booking, pricing & guarantee
How does booking and pricing work?
We work by appointment only, first come, first served. Your spot is guaranteed once the $135 service diagnosis fee is paid. That fee covers the technician’s visit and a full diagnosis. If a repair is needed, we’ll give you one clear price for parts and labor before any work begins, and you decide whether to go ahead. No repair, no charge beyond the diagnosis.
Do you provide upfront pricing?
Yes. Before any repair work begins, your technician gives you the total cost, so you’ll never see a surprise fee added to your bill.
Is your repair work guaranteed?
Yes. Every repair is backed by our 90-Day Parts & Labor Guarantee. It covers issues with the repair itself, but does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, or external factors.
What appliance brands do you repair?
We repair refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, ranges, and microwaves from 20 major brands, including Whirlpool, Maytag, Samsung, LG, GE, Kenmore, Frigidaire, Bosch, KitchenAid, JennAir, Sub-Zero, Thermador, Viking, Wolf and Speed Queen. Not sure about yours? Give us a call.
What if a part isn’t in stock?
Most repairs are completed in a single visit. If a part needs to be special-ordered, your technician will explain the next steps and timeline.
Can I just buy the part and fix it myself?
Yes. Our Appliance Parts Center sells parts directly. Call the parts line at (800) 369-6546.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before your appointment are subject to a $75 cancellation fee, and the remaining $60 is refunded. No-shows and cancellations within 24 hours forfeit the full $135.
What areas do you serve?
We serve homes in Midland, TX and Odessa, TX. We answer the phone here and show up here, not a national call center routing you to a stranger.
What are your hours?
Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. We are closed Saturday and Sunday. You can book online any time, day or night.
Common appliance problems
Why is my refrigerator not cooling?
The usual causes are dirty condenser coils, a failing fan, a worn door seal, a bad temperature control or a defrost problem. If food feels warm or the fridge runs nonstop, have it checked soon. A warm fridge can spoil a full load of groceries in hours.
Why is my refrigerator leaking water?
Most leaks come from a clogged defrost drain, a cracked or loose water line, or an ice maker problem. Standing water can damage flooring and cabinets, so it’s worth fixing early.
Why won’t my washer drain or spin?
A clogged drain hose or pump, a bad lid switch, a worn belt or an unbalanced load can all leave clothes soaking wet. If it happens on every load, the washer needs a diagnosis.
Why does my dryer take so long to dry?
Long dry times usually mean a clogged vent, a failed heating element or thermal fuse, or a worn part. A clogged vent is also a fire risk, so don’t ignore it.
Why won’t my oven heat evenly?
A weak bake or broil element, a faulty igniter on gas models, or a temperature sensor that has drifted out of range are the most common causes.
Is it worth repairing, or should I replace it?
It depends on the appliance’s age, what failed, and the repair cost compared to a new one. After the diagnosis you get an exact price, so you can make that call with real numbers.
Why won’t my dishwasher drain?
A clogged filter, a blocked drain hose or garbage disposal connection, or a failed drain pump is the usual cause of standing water in the tub.
Why does my microwave run but not heat?
A failed magnetron, diode or door switch is the common cause. Don’t try to fix it yourself: microwaves hold a dangerous charge even when unplugged.
